"The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires." -William Arthur Ward
My Teaching Philosophy
I believe every child has the potential to succeed, and that I, as a teacher need to give them that opportunity. My teaching philosophy is to guide students through purposeful learning experiences in order to bring out the best in each student. I believe my role in educating a student goes beyond academics, and should include social and emotional skills as well. My classroom will focus on relationships. I believe that every child needs to feel welcome and experience a sense of belonging. We will be a community of learners working together and building up one another. My mission is to promote life-long learning in my students through a safe and loving environment that focuses on relationships, engaging students in purposeful learning experiences, and student responsibility. As a teacher, my hope is that I will inspire every child I encounter to gain an excitement and a love for learning.
